Financial Controller up to £45,000

Financial Controller Job Specification:
• Financial controller for group of 3 companies with combined turnover of approximately £4.5m.
• Will be directly responsible for up to 6 staff at two sites.
Main tasks will involve:
• Preparing monthly management accounts for each business;
• Producing cashflow and budgeting/variance reports as required and attending management meetings;
• Continual development and improvement of accounts function and reporting;
• Documenting and controlling internal management procedures;
• Point of contact for other managers for financial reporting;
• Completing quarterly VAT returns;
• Maintaining fixed asset register;
• Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled daily;
• Ensuring that the purchases and sales ledger are reconciled regularly including the overseeing, reviewing and monitoring of data input;
• Ensuring that cash income is banked daily ensuring the cash position is effectively monitored and controlled;
• Ensuring all cash is monitored throughout the company to the point of banking;
• Arranging for all necessary accruals and prepayments and other journals to be posted on a monthly basis;
• Overseeing and monitoring monthly payroll;
• Managing credit control and debt chasing;
• Ensuring accuracy of postings onto Sage;
• Communicating with external auditors;
• Organising and preparing information in an efficient fashion for year end audit.
• Ideal candidate will have experience of running the finance function in a similar sized organisation, or have significant experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience of Sage Line 50 is a distinct advantage, but training can be provided.
• An accounting qualification or relevant background is essential.

Book Keeper £12.00ph

Our client is looking for an experience Book Keeper with a variety of of property based activities. You should be able to show experience of book keeping, VAT, PAYE CIS and related matters. Good working knowledge of "Sage" is essential, including importing and exporting date to excel , also some experience of producing managment accounts, the job will also involve maintaing current systems & implementing new ones.
Hours are 09.00 - 5.30pm. Applicants should have excellent IT skills . Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure all are essential qualities.
